Meet the PE Teacher

I am in my 7th year of teaching Physical Education at Flower Mound. I played on a National Championship football team and have coached many highly rated girls volleyball teams.  One of the main things I love about teaching PE is it exposes students to many different forms of physical activity that can be taken with them for a lifetime of enjoyment even when not in school or playing for a team.  PE also gives students the opportunity to demonstrate positive social behaviors that emphasizes both sportsmanship and teamwork all while having fun.

I have been fortunate to receive many awards for efforts to improve my students health and fitness levels:  OU teacher of the game, 2022 HSOK Rookie of the Year, 2023 finalist for the POE Excellence in Education Award, 2023 Dove Self-Esteem Project Winner, and 2023 OAHPERD Recreation Professional of the Year.
